Arsenal has been lucky but their luck won't hold for long. They're yet to play all the other big boys [Chelsea, United, City and Liverpool]. If they manage a win against any of them then they'll have proved beyond reasonable doubt that they're contenders but before they pull that off, I won't be so optimistic.

Arsenal wins the title and then 8 more years without winning. :D Wouldn't be too bad, but Chelsea and Mourinho are going to take it. :)[/quo
Why people have so much faith in the Murinho is something that is an Enigma to me. I really doubt whether Murinho will win the title with Chealsea.

You have stretched the truth there there is nothing to do with luck with Arsenal winning. If I can remind you the so called big boys have fallen to the small teams. Mainly Chealsea to Everton and City to Cardiff. However, I will agree with you that playing Liverpool, and the others will be the test for Arsenal.

It's true that only 5 games were played, but notice who is top of the table: Arsenal and Tottenham. Tottenham lost their points to what team? :) So I think they deserve some credit.

It is an enigma? Possibly because Mourinho has won titles for 10 years in a row in Porto, Chelsea, Inter and Real? :p

Sometimes it takes luck to win petersos. . .a team could dominate their opponents be unable to score and somehow by some stroke of good luck the other team scores from the other half — stranger things have happened.

With the way Mourinho has been winning titles everywhere he goes, I wouldn't bet against him winning it once or twice again at Chelsea :)

Merely a philosophical supposition Ashley Hughes. He had a better squad at Real than the one he has at Chelsea. Did he win the Champions league?

Let's be honest with each other. Mourinho used to be a great Manager but everything good comes to an end. Everyone else has come to learn his strategies and they counter them effectively. Unless he's going to change from his techniques [of winning matches] I don't see him winning any major titles this season [or ever].

Okay if you put that way I will agree with that. I have in mind the way Barcelona lost the Cl crown. They just could not score yet they were dominating the other team. They ended up losing.

Finally there is someone who sees it my way. There will always come a time of drought for even the best in the world. You just need to see what happened to Pepe at Barcelona.

I'm not saying he's that good that he should walk everything but although he did not win the CL at Real Madrid (only La Liga, Copa Del Ray and Supercopa da Espana to be the first person to win the league, cup, super cup and league cup in 4 countries) but teams will come up with tactics to counter his own and cause a surprise for him (i.e Basel) but I do think he'll add at least another EPL to the bag since Ferguson has gone, Man City have a new method to adapt which appears to be working well but I could well be wrong.

Every manager will go through spells without winning anything i.e Liverpool but that's football, Man United used to win everything but not now!
