The way I see it, if it's not broken do not fix it but he needs to be playing for the benefit of the club, I'm sure the manager can work on his attitude providing the results are on the pitch.
Then we will have to wait and see what will happen. That is the only thing that we can do.

I agree, that's all we can do but I guess results will matter at the end of the season as to see if they can work it out

Ozil was one of the best players in Real Madrid squad. And if you make a name for yourself in the company of titans like Ronaldo and Casillas then you must be a great player. Arsenal has a great squad this year, and Ozil will help us win the title.

Ozil pushed Arsenal to another level, but Casillas was no longer a titan in Ozil's Real times, only a titan in the bench. :D

Ozil has pushed Arsenal to new places that previously weren't possible but I think Casillas needs to move to another club as it appears he is no longer first choice and with the experience he has. Plenty of clubs will want a top keeper, maybe even Arsenal?

The attitude of Arsenal fans doesn't help much. . .
Quote:
". . .with Fabianski also being a fairly good goalkeeper, he will provide admirable
backup..."

Point is Casillas could help them a lot but since they really are after fairly good keepers they don't pay much [they'll opt not to sign a new keeper] so the likelihood of Casillas moving to Arsenal is close to zero.

p.s If Arsenal fails to do something about their porous defense [in January] with or without Ozil, they won't win the EPL title.

Casillas could easily inspire Arsenal to new heights and certainly build confidence in the team but as you've said they opt not to sign a new keeper and prefer other options hence it's close to zero but defence is still a problem despite signing a world class player in Ozil they won't win the EPL with a dodgy defence.

Defense has always been Arsenal's Achilles heel. And some of the defenders they've signed in the past are a joke. Remember Silvestre?

Wenger, knowing Silvestre's reputation still had the courage to sign him. Maybe he came cheap. . .or he [Wenger] thought his defending skills would improve under his [Wenger's] tutelage?

However as you state, the fact is unless Arsenal get great defenders, they still will be dreaming about winning a title next year.

That is true as defense as been Arsenal's downfall and Silvestre was dreadful to the fact he didn't get much of a look in at United. But although Wenger had a go at trying to see if he'd improve but Arsenal do need to sign world class defenders to fill the gap and progress forward otherwise they will just rely on Ozil to constantly get goals.

It comes back to the same old saying if you start winning battles but cannot protect your home base, there will reach a point that the victory is not worth it. There is need for this obvious problem to be dealt with no matter what.I believe that Arsenal have the fire power up front but if the rear wheels go bust then it's still worthless.

Their ammo is limited. How many options do they have upfront? Giroud and. . .who?

For Arsenal to be taken seriously, they'll need world class defenders [they can get a few cheap in Italy since they [Italy] have better defenders than any other country] and then they need one world class striker. This way they can rest either striker to keep them fit for the next game.
