Today's game is just the second of the season for United, but I think it will tell a lot about the rest of the season, I just hope Chelsea can win, a win at Old Trafford would be very important!

It will be interesting to see how Man United do this season despite not signing anyone in particular. I think they will put up a good fight despite Ferguson's retirement but bearing in mind United won the EPL by 11 points last season, they cannot be easily written off as such due to the way they won it last season although defence is questionable now since Ferdinand and Evra are getting on and Vidic is getting injured more frequently.

Moyes seems to be the type of manager who just gets on with the job in hand in contrast to Jose Mourinho who plays mind games to unsettle teams although Ferguson was a master of such things, I personally think it will ride on results against each other that will dictate where the title will head to.

A bit of an anticlimax really. A 0-0 draw with only the defenders shining. I think it was United's first goalless draw in 2-3 years.

True, 0-0 was not the result I expected, at least a few goals. On the other hand, Rooney was on the initial 11 and that confirms Manchester United's intentions of keeping him, if anyone still had doubts.

I think Rooney has a very good chance of staying at United now after getting put into the starting 11 last night against Chelsea, 0-0 was a bit of a disappointment considering I was expecting at least 2-3 goals in that match but the defenders did well.

Despite the signings Mourinho has made, I guess it's clear from last night that Manchester United cannot be written off at all.

If Man U does have a weakness in the half-line, it is not showing by the results. It remains to be seen how they sustain their attacking formation. With Van Persie is glorious form, Rooney can play a withdrawn role, that of an attacking midfielder. It gives the team more thrust without exposing weakness in the half-line. Results when Van Persie is rested will tell whether the half-line can sustain the same pressure.

Rooney does have the ability to play as an attacking midfielder especially with RVP in fantastic form but the question for this season will be if United can still win with him being rested.

I think Chelsea played a defensive game against United, even so no goals scored in such a big game is very unusual...

Chelsea did play a defensive game against United which did surprise me considering Chelsea have very good attacking players (Oscar, Mata, Hazard, Schurrle?) who showed against Bayern last night what they can do but was an anti-climax overall as I expected goals.

Maybe Mourinho under-estimated Moyes?

Write Manchester Utd off are you crazy. They may not have brought in new players but bringing new players does not ensure victory. They have a great squad at their disposal and you can count on them defending their title.

I'm not expecting United to be written off, hopefully Fellani will plug the midfield gap and enable them to get going and challenge for the title but they do have a great squad but they could have done more in the transfer market.
