Well then let's say something about all those players who dive to get penalties. In a desperate situation [for example Suarez's desperate measure to help his team get into the semis] would it be acceptable?

Caprica what if your National team had that just one chance [to get into the WC finals] and Ronaldo dived. . . and the penalty is awarded. . .

I will still say it's unacceptable and shouldn't be allowed even if it got England into the final as it would cause a chain reaction in the country by other people worldwide as I recall a lot of people chanting horrible things about Suarez after he did that as well as going against the spirit of the game. I'm a firm believer in fair play in football as well as other sports. I personally play semi-professional laser tag and I wouldn't shoot an opponent if his gun wasn't working to gain those extra points which could mean the difference between winning and losing.

Nonetheless Ashley, it's not everyone who believes in fair play. Even those people believe are the best in the world at the game, dive from time to time. Here's Messi at it:

You may not like the video's title but at least it exhibits the anger. . .[but I think the uploader has something against Messi.

Having watched the video (not that I'm trying to say Messi is a complete angel) but I agree that even the best players in the world dive from time to time when results are not going their way, I've seen the likes of Ashley Young and Christino Ronaldo dive at United, Gareth Bale at Tottenham, Steven Gerrard for Liverpool, Rivaldo for Brazil in 2002 and the worst offender in my opinion who could have make an Olympic diving team in Didier Drogba.

I would say great diving from Ronaldo, no doubt! :D But if the referee sees it he can see a yellow card...

That news Ashley. I did watch most of Brazil's games in the 2002 world cup but it looks like I missed some of the action. But if that's what happened, then it's there's something wrong. . .

The Spanish team that won the last world cup also CHEATED.

Argentina CHEATED with their hand of god goal.

Why can't FIFA have more refs [some who'll officiate from outside with the help of cameras placed at strategic positions so they can have each part of the field effectively covered] if that would be the price of ensuring fairness?

- perfect play acting considering the ball hit him in the knee but yet he fakes a head injury, but a lot of players have to use such tactics to gain advantages which is just unfair.

I agree that Argentina cheated with "Hand Of God" Spain with their dives (for which I looked at Youtube to further emphasise where you're coming from), I agree that FIFA should have more refs to cover all angles and to discourage cheating, goalline technology is a start but they do need to focus on the field of play rather than the end zone.
