That was a poor result against Fulham but you was unlucky with the deflected goal. I thought you deserved a point.

I fancy Newcastle to get something against Manchester City on Saturday. Newcastle usually raise their game when they play the big teams at home.

Hello all, massive Newcastle United supporter in the US here. I've been following the black and white stripes since 1998 and the days of Shearer and Bellamy up top. My how times have changed...
All in all, some decent results this preseason especially against St. Mirren. Looking forward to our next match against Rangers. The Premier League will be starting again before we know it.
I think we really need to get some transfers done especially for more strikers to support Cisse. Your thoughts?

I'm not a Newcastle fan, but I have to admit that it is blatantly obvious that Alan Pardew is not the right man to take the club forward

Alan Pardew was EPL Coach of the Year just two years ago. He is not so much the problem as the owner's stubborn refusal to spend adequate amounts of money on proper players. When you attempt to do business on the cheap as he does, you are bound to take a gamble on low-priced talent.
That can be both bad and good!
You may pick up a player for little cost and he may turn out to be a wonderful signing and score lots of goals. However, the player may also be an overpaid bust. Newcastle has had plenty of those over the years but I still support them wholeheartedly. A little more sensible business and a top-half finish would be entirely possible.

Huge toon fan from Greece! I think this year we will be stronger if we stay out of injuries. If everything comes according to plan, we can be in the top 6 again this year I think!

Why not? If the squad is healthy, our starting eleven are all international players and first class in my opinion. Who else could be in the top six? Especially if Tottenham sells Bale then they will get out of the top 6 surelly!

Being in the top 6 means Newcastle have to perform better than Liverpool, Everton and Tottenham who even without Bale look like a brilliant team. Consistency is the key to finishing in the top 6 and Newcastle have rarely shown this.

Liverpool? Do you think Liverpool have the roster to be in the top 6? Yeah, they are a big club with great history but they are not performing since they fired Benitez and that was a long time ago. They might sell Suarez and they will get more weak. Everton lost their long-time manager and I think they might sell some of their star players such as Fellaini. I think Tottenham can be in the top 6. But Newcastle can be also. Who do you think they can also get in?

I think Swansea have an outside chance. But don't you think Liverpool have a stronger squad than you guys? I mean, I would rather have coutinho, Gerrard and Sturridge than most of your front 3 combinations.

Well Gerrard is trully top class and I think every man who watches soccer knows that. But Ben Arfa can demolish any defensive line if he is healthy and I would prefer him from Coutinho. I also think that Cisse is a good striker and you can compare him to Sturridge. Swansea might have a chance but they didn't seem competitive to me in treir first match...
