Way to go Caprica! I only wish all European clubs would follow that example. . .

It would work wonders in football. Once rapacity is shelved, players will focus on earning their 'glory' through performance. Why can't FIFA at least do something about this salaries and set specific rates players should expect to earn?

As things are. . .it will get to a point where player [high] wages can't be sustained by Clubs. Will they then charge more for tickets? If yes what would be the possible whip-lash?

Ronaldo is a talented player, one of the best out there but he will never rise to the value of his predecessors like Zidane or Raul. He is more concerned about the money that he makes and he plays not for glory and not because he loves the club or the supporters. He is just another gold digger that will be overlooked in 10 years.

Exactly my thoughts!

If a player is always whining about that he isn't being paid as much as another player, his heart is in what he makes from the sport. The love for money has seen the quality of football deteriorate because a sulky player can't play give it "his all" to get victory.

And TBH, ever since the media started hollering about what the be$t paid players earn, the expectations of professional footballers changed significantly. . .

Glory these days isn't in players' achievements on the field but what they bank.
