I guess Sporting is a word that has its own meaning in English no? But why Lisbon, where did you get that idea from? I suppose you also call Porto OPorto right?

Ashley, would you like the be to one in UK to tell people how it's like?

In English, sporting is just a term for sport as well as a descriptive word in general but yet we call other teams by their name i.e Porto, Braga, Benfica, Boavista etc, maybe it's just one of those things like Americans say Toe-mate-o in contrast to Tomato.

I suppose now I've had a good education from a true fan like yourself, I'll do my best to use the "correct" name for Sporting Clube de Portugal

We are making a great season this year, next game will be Porto vs Sporting (1st and 2nd in the league currently) so it will be a big game...

But Monaco have moved to the top of Ligue 1 and level on points with PSG, sounds like this is going to be an exciting season for these 2 clubs.

Well... Falcão was said to be on transit from Monaco to Real, now he's saying he wants to go to Spain because of her wife, I wonder how the rich Monaco will react to that.

I have heard Falcao is unhappy at Monaco and it will be interesting to see who makes a bid for him in the January transfer window as no doubt a host of clubs will be willing to take him on.

That would be great. I've bought two for my kids, not official ones because they are very expensive, but they look great anyway. Incredibly enough I never got one to myself, if you do it, I'll do it too!!

They were indeed a good team back then, it had nice potential though I didn't want to really say that they were a rather "superstar" team because it wasn't really a land of milk and honey. Time would've told something, anyway.
