As long as he gets the right message across, I think he'll do just fine. He has made a statement the English squad will go easy on players representing teams at the Champions Trophy. I couldn't have said it better myself. Instead of being honoured at the prospect of playing for England, players are burdended and intimidated. This could be as a result of the media influence; as well as praising a player, the could likewise disregars and criticise.

I agree. the problem lies, however, in players understanding the role of club managements in deciding their importance at club level. For example, Rooney has always found a place in the English team. he must be a little out of place having to concede the striker's position. Resentment is not accepted, which is why he found it difficult to reconcile.

I'm sure he is honored to play for England. I hope he quickly learns it's fantastic to play for a club like Man U as well.

That's a logical solution. I would also add he has loyalty for the club and would not want to move out of England.
He certainly does not want to be in a situation Beckham faced during his playing career. There are too many adjustments to be made if a player has a family.
