It surely will be exciting and a great tussle is on the cards.I reckon Argentina will win it this time.I can't rule out the Germans too,but i don't see them winning it.Come sunday,it is going to be a spectacular showdown..
Ghana managed a draw but the ones that stretched germans to their limits was Algeria.Messi won't be a factor in the final,i reckon.Even in the semi finals game against netherlands,messi was surrounded by kuyt,vlaar and sneijder.In the second half by clasie.Teams now have an idea on how to stop Messi from getting past their defenders.Every other time he makes contact with the ball,he is surrounded by 3 men.I am not expecting Germany to trash Argentina like they did with Portugal and Brazil (funny enough only Gana managed a draw with Germany), but they are clearly the favorites. I think Argentina has it's chances though, Messi can make anything happen with the ball at his feet.
Pretty honest with that eh..?.Actually it is all on what happens on that day.Both teams have had a tough route to the final and it would be unfair to call one of them as favorites.No one expected Argentina to bring down the dutch who were exemplary throughout.I really am hoping that this won't be a defensive struggle that ends in another shootout.
I agree with you. Germans deserve this world cup. They had tough opponents throughout the competition and they defeated them one by one. I find it funny but you are too optimistic that you don't want to look at the negative side at all.Had it not been for this 7-1 win,their goals per game would have not even been worth mentioning.If you did notice Argentina's defense has transcended a level.Garay and zabalata are top notch and Mascherano is there to aid them.moreover the Brazilians will be cheering for Argentina,since they too are south Americans,which is an added advantage.
I completely second your thoughts.brazil is just a team which is over rated and one that often fumbles and messes up in the knockout stages.They have world class players but as team they have failed.
