I saw an interview of Muller and he said that the players decided not to use any fancy tricks or passes. They did not want to humiliate the home team. They decided to play their game, like they always did. I really wonder what got into Brazil?
I am quite sure that the injury on Neymar had little to do with it.

The loss of Neymar and Silva, Brazil's two best players, really gutted the team. The rest of the team is very average. I don't think any of these players would have been able to get into Brazilian teams of years past. Brazil's attempts at playing a thuggish game really caught up to them. Fred was arguably the worst player in the World Cup. He is just not up to the standard of strikers that Brazil are used to trotting out in the World Cup. Brazil's failings should not take anything away from just how dominant and impressive Germany were.

You know what the Germans planned after half time.??.They didn't want to humiliate the oppostion all the more and refrained from playing tricks with the ball and keeping the defense part as priority.Shame that they had to lose it this way.At least Oscar put up something as a consolation, lest it would have been all the more humiliating.
This match would be remembered for a long time and will go down in history as one of the worst performances. If we ever think of WC 2014,this is what pops out of our mind.

Yeah, I read that too, the Germans are smart, they didn't want to infuriate the public. Oscar made 7-1 all right, but in the seconds before Germany could have made 8-0...
