Sporting managed to sell Bruma to Galatasary in the last day and Llori to Liverpool, for 13 and 8 million respectively. These are both young promises that didn't want to renew their contracts, so well done, 21M is a great number!

Well done to Sporting, I knew Liverpool had signed him but wasn't sure on what he's like but guess i'll have to watch how he does in the EPL. But if you can get the money for them, then it's all good.

Don't know if Llori will play much for Liverpool, he's only 20 years old and he was not even in Sporting main team, but in our B team that plays in Division 2. Possibly is a bet for the future or for the bench.

I guess he is a player for the future if he's only 20 and wasn't in the first team at Sporting. But if you can get 8 million for him and he doesn't play for the first team, then it looks like good business for your team to invest.

It was a great deal for us, this new President Bruno de Carvalho is really making a good job. Our former president was a joke, he sold out team captain Carriço (I think he's playing in England, also a center back) for 400 thousand €s go figure...

Carriço is a good player, it was a shame.

I just knew that Llori has an English mother, so after all he can play for the national team if he rises up, so I suppose that was one of his motivations. Not that I think that the English team is better than ours.

Carrico is a good player and a shame to be sold but think he's still settling in.

Llori has potiental to do well and could play for England but with Jones, Smalling, Cahill, Jenkinson all in with a shout, it may or may not happen but it would be nice for him if that is his motivation.

To be fair, the way we are playing recently, I think Portugal are miles ahead of us in terms of quality and teamwork.

Portugal has not a super game, far from it. We are an average team, but we are very much dependent on Ronaldo or Nani or a good day at the midfield...

I thought Portugal were doing well recently with Ronaldo, Nani and the midfield doing well but guess they must be in transition if they aren't performing like they did 5-10 years ago.

In that time we had Figo, Rui Costa, Deco and Pauleta, a super midfield and a decent striker. Apart from Moutinho all we have now are average players, it's not the same quality.

To be fair, players like Figo, Deco, Rui Costa and Pauleta were world class when on form. It's a shame it's not the same powerhouse as I enjoyed watching them play on TV.

Is Veloso still playing for Portugal nowadays as he added some steel to the national side from what I recall.
