I am aware that the deadline to contend for hosting the Euro 202 has already expired and the candidates were Scotland/wales/Ireland, Georgia and Turkey. Germany had tried it's luck too but it obviously they hosted 2006 WC and the 2011 WWC tournaments so her chances are slim to none.

So who do you guys think should host the 2nd 24 team Euro 2020?

Ireland has had issues for quite sometime and maybe the best way to unify the Irish is to have them host the Euro. While the goodwill may not last long, at least they can for a time have a common goal [supporting their national team, hoping that they'll win the Euro Cup].

If Ireland, Wales and Scotland were awarded the competition would that mean that THREE countries would automatically be in the competition? When you say Ireland are you talking about only the Republic of Ireland? Or both parts of Ireland? If it is both parts then that would be FOUR nations automatically going through, I don't know if UEFA would like that.

I would also fear something major would happen in Ireland if both side were in the competition.

I believe that UEFA announced that the games will be hosted for the first time ever by multiple cities in Europe. So we will have to wait and see what will be their final decision and which countries will be selected.

This is actually pretty neat. I wouldn't expect any more than one country to host... but to have multiple countries? That's going to be pretty sick

Yes I believe that this decision will create a strong bond between the countries that will host the EURO 2020 and maybe in the future this will be a common thing, because football has no borders.

It's a good question, I am not seeing UEFA giving three places to three host countries, but who knows? For me it's indifferent, I just wonder if a country like Georgia can have infra-structures to host such a competition.

I would love to see it hosted in Ireland/Scotland/Wales as I'm from Ireland so could hopefully get to see a few of the games. I assume they'd let all three teams into the tournament, they let both Switzerland and Austria into it in 2012 didn't they?

Events like the Euro 2020 make it possible for countries like Croatia and Serbia to turn the corner and help each other grow, but as far as i know they have backed out and i feel a developing nation should get the bid to host the 2020 Euros..but taking a look at the bids,it never is going to happen.

"Azerbaijan (Baku), Belarus (Minsk), Belgium (Brussels), Bulgaria (Sofia), Denmark (Copenhagen), England (London), Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia (Skopje), Germany (Munich), Hungary (Budapest), Israel (Jerusalem), Italy (Rome), Netherlands (Amsterdam), Republic of Ireland (Dublin), Romania (Bucharest), Russia (Saint Petersburg), Scotland (Glasgow), Spain (Bilbao), Sweden (Stockholm), Wales (Cardiff)."
19 bids to host so far.
