I would like to know your thoughts on this one please? Which International soccer league(s) is the toughest?

The most entertaining to watch as well? This one most likely differs from the one that is the toughest and the best...What do you think?

I find the EPL and La Liga as my favorites to watch, but they are not the toughest and the strongest in the world, or are they? I heard that some of the South American leagues are very tough to play in...!

I have watched most of the leagues play. With this said it is close, but I definitely feel that the Primer League is the toughest league to play in. La Liga is pretty right behind the EPL. I say this because if you take a look at the top teams in both leagues you can see the obvious: La Liga: Madrid & Barcelona, Premier League: Man U, Man City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool, Tottenham, etc. What I am trying to say is it is more competitive, making it tougher on the players to perform. With this said, Torres would do a lot better in Spain at the moment, in my opinion.

It is difficult to compare which leagues are the better ones, but if you are talking about physical play, then it surely have to be the Italian Serie A league. I have watched Serie A teams play it out through muck and mud and realised that after comparing their style of play with that in the EPL, the Italian league is more physical in terms of its team play, but it's nothing short of talent. The only sad thing is that it came out in the news few days back that some matches a few years ago were fixed.

I have to agree that the Italians have always been more aggressive but talent wise and competition, that has to be the EPL following La liga.

I think the English Premier League is the toughest because of its physical nature and competitiveness. You need to be extremely fit to play in England because the style of football is end to end. The pace of the game in England seems to be faster than the other leagues, you need to be good technically because there is less time on the ball.

The best league for talent is the Brazilian league, the skill level is higher and the attacking players have more time on the ball.

I think the English Premier League (though Spanish league is also considered highly) is the toughest league because in England the players are not given winter breaks whereas in Spain and other parts of the world players are given long winter breaks which enables them to perform well. Also in England there are many teams that are competing for the title such as Manchester United, Manchester City, Chelsea, Arsenal, Tottenham, Newcastle United and so on whereas in Spain, there is only Barcelona and Real Madrid, who are the real deal. Therefore, the competition in the EPL makes the most dominant league.

La Liga lacks competitiveness because two clubs win the league every season. There is a great disparity in the distribution of domestic TV revenue and this reinforces the divide between the two giant and the rest of the league. TV revenue distribution needs to be fair to improve the competitiveness of La Liga.

I'm only a Barca fan.

La Liga is the best to watch. I love watching Spanish football, it is beautiful. I know it seems like an odd word to use to describe football, but I can't think of a more appropriate one. Looking forward to Spain keeping their title...
