First and foremost I was never a big fan of soccer growing up , I knew it existed and that other people outside of the USA loved it to death but I never got into it until I was bored one day and turned the channel to ESPN and these English announcers were going freaking bloody crazy over a Manchester United VS Chelsea game and I sat back with my Doritos in my hand and my chili cheese dip thinking DAMN this soccer stuff is so exciting and I instinctively choose MAN U over the other team. I became so obsessed with soccer that I went out a bought almost ever soccer game I could freaking find! from FIFA to Pro Evolution Soccer. I can't pass up the opportunity of carrying a ball in my car and taking it to a family function than kicking it past people through garbage cans and pretending I'm Ronaldo! I even wear soccer uniforms to bloody night club for Christ sakes big fan of the game now mates!

Football is an addiction man.
You get hooked and it becomes life for you at that point then.
I always watch football, even the lower leagues abroad LOL

For some, soccer is a religion, for me, it is a sport that needs to be watched whilst drinking soda/beer with your family/friends. I do recognize that I wasn't particularly into it either, I preffered baseball, but ... as of today, I'm looking forward to more and more matches, because the WC14 will end soon, and UEFA will compensate a bit for it hopefully.

Yes you are absolutely right it is a religion for some and there are some who know not to take it that seriously but they do it anyway because others are taking it so seriously and I love that because even on Facebook I knew that my country the United States would not win the entire World Cup in Brazil but I know soccer fans and the way some of them think so I started talking smack telling people on my Facebook friends list who were pretty experienced soccer fans compared to a football loving basketball loving American such as myself I was telling them yeah chump America is going to kick your butts and send your freaking team packing out of Brazil they had better enjoy some beaches and some girls because we are going to wipe the smut of the field with their backsides. America lost and I got scolded for that but I took it like a man and I still enjoy my friends and the game. I will be playing the game on my XBOX ONE FIFA 14 and you were right man people make soccer way more interesting because you can mess with people get excited eat and talk crap and have bonding and great times.

You were right about being addicted to soccer and I would really have to credit my daughter for that because she is now on the soccer team and is pretty decent not the best girl on the team and not the worst one but she makes me proud because of her will to keep trying and improve her game. I watch the lower leagues as well and I'm talking about the Chicago Fire because of the pride in my city I love Chicago and if I am not watching that then I will watch whats on TV or on the highlights on ESPN but my daughter gets all the love from me I'm not ashamed to be the loudest parent in the stands and cheer her on sometimes she thinks I'm being bossy but I'm not I'm just so excited because I see a star in her just as much as I see a star in every player.

I did enjoy the performances of the USA overall, but I don't really think they were focused on those matches whatsoever. Probably they'll have a bigger chance after 4 years, who knows, I am confident with them, but they need more training, in my opinion.

I still watch Serie B all the time. Reggina Calcio all the way baby! Actually, they got demoted to Serie C and that will test my faith a lot lol. I don't think I've ever watched a Serie C match or if they are even televised anywhere haha.

Heh, it seems I'm not the only one who frequently does that. :)

No other sport generates a worldwide frenzy like soccer. Those of us who love the sport will love it for life and we can find kindred spirits in just about any country in the world. I love that in unites families, friends, countries and even the world :).
