Spain looked more dangerous when Torres came on because they had a focal point to their attack. The 'false 9' position needs to be played by a supreme talent, like Messi, Fabregas doesn't have the attributes to play the withdrawn striker role.

At the time he was leaving Arsenal, he admitted that playing for Barcelona was something he always dreamt about. He got his chance to get in and is comfortable. When Man Untd expressed interest in him his answer was that he was happy where he was.

However leaving Barcelona may not be for him to decide. If the club decides to sell him well then quite obvioulsy he'll have to leave.

But it would be logical for him to leave Barcelona as a footballer wanting success in the sense that him leaving would ensure that he is the main man at another club. At Barcelona, he hardly features in the big games and even when he does, he is the victim of circumstances as he is shoved out of position. Forget about it being his boyhood club; if it was you what would you do?
