Are you kidding mate? See, I don't understand this; how so many people aren't aware of the situation at Arsenal. This is in no way meant as an insult to you or anything mate, because it's practically everyone who thinks this - even most Arsenal supporters I've seen on forums. Due to the Emirates stadium being built, it was practically common knowledge that for the next six years or so, Arsenal would be on an extremely tight budget. Wenger has said this, the board has said this, but those shoddy journalists who write articles for SKYSports and the like, always seem to miss this part. Arsenal have had a very tight budget, unable to compare even to Spurs and Liverpool (or QPR lol) at times, never mind Chelsea, City and Man U. It is actually a testament to Wenger and his skills as a manager that Arsenal have qualified for the Champions League every single year while not only being unable to compete financially, but also having to sell our best players season after season. During this time Wenger has been a blessing, not a curse. Without him we would be Europa League material. But this is what had to be done. This season is coming at the tail-end of the stadium expenses, and the stadium, in the long run, was a hugely important investment. Judge Wenger on the next few years. I think many will be eating their words.
