Hey there. Just thought I would say hello after joining. The forum seems quite interesting - directed at people worldwide it.

Well for anyone who's interested, although I'm Scottish, I actually support Arsenal. Love the team, manager, history, everything. It should be a very interesting season this year!

I look forward to arguing discussing football with you guys. Thanks!

Welcome Adam. Arsenal fan that loves Wenger despite Arsenal hasn't won a trophy in the last years? :) How do you manage to still like him?

Are you kidding mate?

See, I don't understand this; how so many people aren't aware of the situation at Arsenal. This is in no way meant as an insult to you or anything mate, because it's practically everyone who thinks this - even most Arsenal supporters I've seen on forums.

Due to the Emirates stadium being built, it was practically common knowledge that for the next six years or so, Arsenal would be on an extremely tight budget. Wenger has said this, the board has said this, but those shoddy journalists who write articles for SKYSports and the like, always seem to miss this part.

Arsenal have had a very tight budget, unable to compare even to Spurs and Liverpool (or QPR lol) at times, never mind Chelsea, City and Man U. It is actually a testament to Wenger and his skills as a manager that Arsenal have qualified for the Champions League every single year while not only being unable to compete financially, but also having to sell our best players season after season. During this time Wenger has been a blessing, not a curse. Without him we would be Europa League material.

But this is what had to be done. This season is coming at the tail-end of the stadium expenses, and the stadium, in the long run, was a hugely important investment.

Judge Wenger on the next few years. I think many will be eating their words.

I can't understand that good why people are so against Wenger. Of course he hasn't won anything in the last few years but in the end he makes Arsenal being one of the top teams each season constantly.

I think it is hard for team fans that were accustomed to winning titles. That happens to my team as well and I wouldn't like the same manager to continue there for 8 or 9 years for almost winning...

That's right but when I hear people it's almost like Arsenalhas to fight against relegation each season.

I think you are missing the point, the fans are unhappy because the team doesn't win and because the manager and owner do not invest in buying quality players that can lead them to win again.
