Ok folks, Bundesliga has started last weekend, what are your thoughts so far? Who is going to be at the top? And which teams do you think are going to suprise this season?
Well, you can't tell that much right now, everyone had just one game.
Frankfurt was really bad, this you can tell. And there were a lot of goals, this isn't something the Bundesliga is known for, at least not in this way.
Let's wait for the next few games, the weekend isn't too far away.
I think it will be between Dortmund and Bayern like last year, but this year it will be closer. I think Bayern will miss Heinckes, let's see if Guardiola can adapt to the German football. Both started strong last weekend so let's wait and see!
Matchday 2: wasn't quite what I expected it to be. First half of the matches were just boring but the second 45 minutes became quite thrilling. Bayern lucky, Hamburg and Schalke bad. Let's wait for Dortmund who faces Braunschweig tomorror.
Dortmund got problems with Braunschweig, they don't have a good start but nonetheless they lead the table. There are some suprises like Bremen and Wolfsburg.
I think Bayern will walk it again as I've always seen the Bundesliga as a 1 horse race unless Dortmund hammer them in their fixtures but saying that, it was very close between the two in recent games. Should be interesting to watch though.
Bayern just dropped their first points and I am pretty sure they won't be so strong as last season, no team can be so strong two years in a row, and for me Guardiola is not a plus on this team.
That is true and Bayern did drop points but Guardiola was a master at Barcelona and Bayern do have similar styles although they have more power when they attack compered to Barcelona, I reckon once he truly settles in then it could change but as I posted a few days ago, it should be interesting to watch their progress.
Guardiola did it again against Mourinho, he won the European super cup in the penalties against that incredible goal in the last seconds... I am a Mourinho fan so it was really disappointing for me...
Guardiola pulled a cracker against Chelsea in the Super Cup in the last minute, I did feel sorry for Chelsea (as I like British teams to do well) I thought Bayern would be more interested in the league etc but it was an entertaining game of football, especially Ribery's powerful shot.
I admire both Mourinho and Guardiola as coaches as they have their own unique way of dealing with matches and tactics and the game itself was great to watch.
It still hurts when I remember it, the goal in the last seconds, the last penalty failed, now the first loss in the Premiership, I hope Chelsea can find better days this season.
It was a shame that it fell apart for them, but I have confidence that they will pick themselves up and get back on track soon. They are a team who refuse to be beaten.
