Crazy ideas I had as a kid about the game of soccer.

I can remember long ago I would come up with crazy ideas to improve various sports or make them look cool to me. I used to think that soccer would be much more exciting if the field was shortened to give the game a more do or die closed in type of feel. I like the idea of more goals being scored however our international buddies love a wider field it gives the game more suspense and seems to really prolong the game.
Another idea I had was to remove goal keepers and leave the goal post open but restrict all players 40 feet from entering a space near the goal post it would force them to make long kicks and not in close drives.

I can imagine this making football more exciting.
However, imagine how many goals the games would have in them.
Bookies would have a nightmare.

Hello ashashash I am very happy to find out that you have responded to my thread about my suggestions for new rules they can implement in soccer games. I have thought and I remembered that this sort of thing has been tried already I just was unsure about it. In the 2008 Olympic games in London there was a game of soccer which was modified by making the soccer court closed in and they played on a floor and not grass and had a crowd of people around them. This game was so fast paced and full of energy because I'm a city guy and I really want to play in one of these games someday. I remember after I watched that game on TV I ran out of my room and down to my friend's house and we set up some garbage cans in his ally and both of us played soccer and pretended we were Messi and Ronaldo it was so fun. I have some pictures of this event for you to see they are shall I say very interesting maybe I should build a court like this in my area and start a league for men and women to excercise and put it on TV we could sell tickets pay our players and give the money to homeless men and women for food.
