Chelsea beat Hull 2-0, but more impressive than their win was the reception Mourinho had in Stamford Bridge, the crowd went crazy with him. I don't recall such a reaction to a manager, to players yes, but not to managers.

Chelsea quite remember him as the man who firmly established Chelsea as a force to reckon with in European footballer. Quite naturally they expect him to build on his previous successes and help Chelsea win another Champions league trophy.

His La Liga successes were not many so we expect him to do hit off the mark in the EPL.

Everyone has his day. Mourinho's days as a great Manager are gone and the end of this season will prove it.

Nail firmly hit on the head there Denis, Mourinho was the manager who brought them a lot of success, Fergie got a standing ovation from the home fans when he took control of his last home game.

I think you are quite wrong Denis, but I guess only time will tell. Sure, he didn't have much success at Madrid, but against Messi and all the others it is hard to have success.

I think Mourinho was also successful with Real Madrid. At the time he took over the charge, Barcelona was far ahead of Real Madrid. He successfully ended Barca domination but he failed to win Champions League with Real.

True, in his second year he broke a lot of records, over 100 points in the league, more scored goals, in his first year a Spanish Cup, in the third year the Spanish supercup, some success, but not as much as Mourinho uses to have.

Mourinho's honeymoon period is about to get over. This match would be a true test of whether Mourinho still has it in him to battle in the EPL or not.
