There are some important games in the Champions League tonight. I will be watching the Manchester City v Real Madrid game. I think it will be an exciting and open game as City need to win. It's a hard one to call but I hope City are knocked out tonight.

I'm going for 2-2

What's your score prediction?

Well, it finished 1-1 and Manchester City have been knocked out at the group stages for the second year in a row.

City have been drawn in two very hard groups to be fair to them, but they should have qualified with the players they have.

Borussia Dortmund will finish top of the group, an outstanding effort by the German side.

I expected Manchester City to lose this match to be honest, glad I didn't bet on this one.
And while I agree that they should have qualified with the players they have, their recent performance said otherwise.

Indeed. Their performances in the Champions League have been terrible, last season and this season.

The killer result was the away loss to Ajax, that was the game they had to win to stand a chance of progressing to the knock-out stage.

The City owners obviously have a lot more patience than Abramovich, Mancini would be sacked by now.
