Karim Benzema has admitted that he is currently enjoying life at Real Madrid so much that he would have no problem finishing his career at the Santiago Bernabeu.

The France international took time to settle in the Spanish capital but he nailed down a regular berth in the Blancos frontline this season and played a key role in the club's Liga triumph.

Benzema is just 24 but he confessed that he is open to the idea of spending the rest of his playing days in Madrid.

"Why not finish my career here? I don't know if I can play for as many years as Raul, though! We'll see," he told RMC.

"Everything is going super well for me now. We have won the league and we're all really proud of this team.

"It is true that at first it was a bit tricky for me because it was the first time that I had been separated from my family.

"But with patience and hard work everything got better. I had always intended to play for this team and today I am very happy."

Benzema also explained that France legend and current Madrid sporting director Zinedine Zidane and coach Jose Mourinho both played a key role as he finally settled at the club.

"Zidane's help was important for me," he admitted. "He is the best player of all time in France and he spoke with me.

"And Mou always told me what he wanted from me. We talked a lot and he trusted in me."

Benzema, who joined Madrid from Lyon in 2009, bagged 21 goals in 34 Liga appearances this term.
