The Italian has been the subject of fierce speculation but insists he wants to remain with Roberto Mancini's side and would say no to any move back to his homeland

Not sure if it is a wise move by the controversial striker. Milan could offer so much more than what Manchester City has to offer. That being said, he has played for them before.

I recall Mancini saying he would leave in his post-match interview after the defeat to Arsenal. Balotelli was sent off and he didn't have a good game.

I think Balotelli is overrated and he doesn't really fit into the team. He's not a wide player, he's not a playmaker, and he's not as good as Aguero. I would be inclined to sell him.

Why would ANYONE stay with Manchester City if even given the option to come to Milan?

Because Manchester City pay very well and they are the champions of England. The latest match fixing scandal will make Serie A even less attractive to the big players. Serie A attracted world class players in the 90's, those days are long gone, unfortunately.

Whatever you think about City, they are the champions and they will be a powerful force for the foreseeable future. Most players are not obsessed with 'history', they want to be paid well and win trophies - City can offer that.

If you say so, I believe you. ;)
