This was inevitable. As soon as Lambert was linked with Villa I knew he wouldn't stick around with City for any longer. Let's face it Lambert was an ace manager, look at what he did for Norwich, despite everyone's prediction they were excellent in the League and with such an impressive season under his belt Villa were going to hardly say no were they? And I'm sure Lambert had no objections with such a large jump.
