Ashley Cole to Roma.

Its now been finally confirmed! How do people think he will get on in Serie A and could this be the start of more English players choosing to play in other European countries much like the 80's/90's?

I think Ashley Cole will fit very well into the Roma side. A lot of Italian teams are all about defense and Roma isn't an exception. A top-class defender like him will succeed there. I don't think it is the start of anything, the Premier League is still the best league in the world, the one that most footballers especially English ones want to be in.

I agree, quite a few italian teams have 3-5-2 with wing backs which would suit him down to a tee!
